Bruce Brown of the Brooklyn Nets put together the best performance of his young career on Tuesday night against the Sacramento Kings. He capped it all off by shimmying in front of the Kings after draining a triple:

The Nets, without Kevin Durant, won the game with ease by a final margin of 127 to 118.

Even without KD, the Nets looked like a juggernaut on Tuesday in what was seemingly a routine drubbing of the competitive Kings – headlined by an awe-inspiring performance from third-year wing Bruce Brown in which he put up 29 points in 25 minutes on 11 of 13 shooting with a +20 in on/off rating.

Brown was drafted 42nd overall by the Detroit Pistons in 2019 and had established himself as a gifted defensive wing in two seasons with Detroit before being included in the three-team deal that sent Luke Kennard to the Clippers, a number of young players (including recent Eastern Conference Player of the Week Saddiq Bey) to the Pistons and Landry Shamet and Brown to the Nets.

Beyond Brown’s career night, the Nets are looking a true contender in the East after winning seven straight games in relatively routine fashion.

All Nets starters finished with double-digit points as well at least +10 in on/off rating. James Harden was his usual imperious self, finishing with a cool 29-point, 14-assist, 11-rebound triple-double.

Again, this was a fairly easy win for the Nets, even with Kyrie Irving not having his best game with only 21 points on an inefficient 8 of 22 shooting night.
