The rift between Brooklyn Nets forward Blake Griffin and his former team in the Detroit Pistons has yet to see its end even after the player already relocated to a new city. In a now-deleted tweet, the Pistons fired a shot at Griffin as they wrote an intriguing caption to a highlight clip from their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday.

Griffin's two-and-a-half-season stay in Detroit turned out to be an up-and-down rollercoaster. During his first campaign with the team, he served as their main man as he notched a career-best 24.5 points through 75 games played back in the 2018-19 season.

However, Griffin's production eventually dwindled down as the Pistons opted to take on a youth movement to rebuild for the future. With a decreased role, he failed to log a single dunk in a span of two years which became the idea for the caption on the now-deleted Twitter post.

Both sides mutually agreed to part ways as the contract of the six-time All-Star was finally bought out by the Pistons back in early March of 2021. He eventually sought a change in scenery and signed with the Nets for a veteran minimum deal in hopes of vying for the first title of his career.

Ironically, his first two points scored as a member of the Nets came in the form of a dunk. In Brooklyn, the former Slam Dunk champion is currently averaging 8.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists through 12 games played with the Nets.

Despite the attack, Blake Griffin knows in himself that he is already in a better situation as he aims to be a valuable contributor for the championship-seeking Nets as they head to the upcoming playoffs.
