Brooklyn Nets superstar forward Kevin Durant's business partner Rich Kleiman has no doubt that KD will be the best basketball player in the world again next season.

Durant will miss the entire 2019-20 season recovering from his Achilles tear. Kleiman says the Nets are going to be a handful to deal with next season once Durant and Kyrie Irving take the floor together:

“I have no question he’ll be back better than ever,” Kleiman said, via The Washington Post. “By next season, I expect nothing but KD. Great things will happen. Injuries are a part of the game, and it’s obviously been a bit frustrating. The Nets are still in playoff position. The players are developing and getting better. I expect things to pick up. Everyone knows what [Durant and Irving] can do when they’re playing and healthy.”

A 10-time All-Star and former MVP, Durant has career NBA averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 849 games with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors. The future Hall of Famer is one of the best scorers of all time and Nets fans can’t wait to see Durant competing with Irving and DeAndre Jordan by his side at the Barclays Center next season.

Durant, Irving and Jordan, who are very close friends off the court, each signed four-year deals with the Nets. In fact, KD and Kyrie took less money from the team so Jordan could get a $40 million contract from Brooklyn.

Durant told Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka on his cooking show this past summer that he picked the Nets over the New York Knicks in free agency because Brooklyn was “farther along in the process of being a contender.” The Nets made the playoffs last season and have a good core and infrastructure led by GM Sean Marks and head coach Kenny Atkinson. The Knicks, meanwhile, had the worst record in the NBA in 2018-19 and have been a walking disaster under owner James Dolan for years.
