Brooklyn Nets backup point guard Spencer Dinwiddie has refuted a report which claimed he parted ways with his agent, Raymond Brothers.
Spencer Dinwiddie, who is very active on Twitter, took to social media to shoot down the report.
I respect your sources. But this is incorrect. https://t.co/4IEEbsIK57

Dinwiddie will become an unrestricted free agent after this season ends and is expected to command a lot of interest on the open market. The 25-year-old is averaging 15.6 points, 2.6 rebounds and 4.9 assists through 24 games this year while shooting 46.2 percent from the floor, 36.2 percent from the 3-point line and 79.6 percent from the charity stripe.
Spencer Dinwiddie comes off the bench for the Nets, but he has proven to be a more efficient player and requires less maintenance than starter D'Angelo Russell, who will enter restricted free agency in the summer if the Nets offer him a $9.16 million qualifying offer.
Needless to say, this is a very important year for Dinwiddie. He's only making $1.66 million this season. The guard is set to get a huge payday in the summer. Whether it's from the Nets has yet to be determined.
Raymond Brothers is the lawyer and agent for Philadelphia 76ers second-year guard Markelle Fultz. Brothers announced last week that Fultz will be seeing multiple specialists in New York and won't practice or play in games until the specialists have gotten a chance to look at Fultz's shoulder.
