Brooklyn Nets star Spencer Dinwiddie won the All-Star Saturday night Skills Challenge in 2018. However, he didn't even get the chance to defend his crown last year in Charlotte.

Apparently, the Brooklyn Nets guard still has hard feelings over not getting invited back into last year's contest, per Zach Braziller of The New York Post.

“Look at it like this: I won the Skills Challenge and didn’t get invited back,” Dinwiddie said after the Nets’ 133-118 win over the Bulls at Barclays Center on Friday night. “What does that f—in’ say? Have you ever met a winner of an award not get invited back? Now that s–t is pretty crazy. Folks don’t care about me. I’m Spencer. Quit playin.’ ”

Some thought Dinwiddie might sneak in the East reserves. Unfortunately, the 26-year old guard, who is having a career year with the Nets, missed out on the 12-man roster.

Dinwiddie, however, reportedly didn't expect to make the team despite his strong 2019-20 campaign. That's when he began his NSFW rant about how he didn't even get a chance to defend his Skills Challenge title from two years ago.

Regardless if he made the All-Star team or not, Dinwiddie is certainly having an All-Star worthy campaign in his 6th NBA season. The 26-year old has done a tremendous job keeping the Nets afloat with Kyrie Irving on the sidelines for the majority of the season.

Dinwiddie has started in 33 of his 48 games so far this 2019-20 season. In those 33 games, Dinwiddie is averaging 23.0 points, 3.7 boards, and 7.1 dimes, while shooting 41.9 percent from the field and 76.7 percent from the foul line.

The Nets reserve guard might have another chance to showcase his All-Star worthy talents again with Irving going down on Saturday with a scary-looking knee injury.
