Presidential candidate Andrew Yang believes the Brooklyn Nets are going to sign Carmelo Anthony in the wake of Wilson Chandler's suspension.

Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie, who is very active on Twitter, saw Yang's tweet and responded to him:

Carmelo Anthony has been linked to the Nets in the past few weeks. It all started when news broke Melo was working out with Nets players in Los Angeles, even though reports claimed there was nothing to it and that Anthony was just playing basketball with his friends.

Frank Isola of The Athletic then dropped the news on Thursday Nets stars Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are reportedly pushing Brooklyn's front office to sign Anthony. Durant, Irving and Anthony are very close friends off the court. They were part of the 2016 USA team which won gold in Brazil at the summer Olympics.

Anthony played in just 10 games with the Houston Rockets last season before the franchise exiled and traded him to the Chicago Bulls in January. The 10-time All-Star and future Hall of Famer averaged 13.4 points and 5.4 rebounds with the Rockets while shooting 40.5 percent from the field, 32.8 percent from beyond the arc and 68.2 percent from the free-throw line.

Fans of Anthony are hoping the Nets give Melo a shot. In the end, it will be up to general manager Sean Marks and head coach Kenny Atkinson.
