Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie says his Twitter mentions are filled with “salty” New York Knicks fans after the Nets got Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant in free agency.

All season long, Irving and Durant were rumored to be going to the Knicks. Dinwiddie, who hasn't been shy to troll the Knicks on Twitter, says fans of the Knicks keep getting angry over the “truth.”

“My mentions have been crazy. The Knicks fans say that they’re always on my mind or that they didn’t even want KD anyway because he’s hurt. I’ve pretty much heard every negative thing you can imagine about Kyrie, KD and myself. It’s just them being salty,” Dinwiddie told Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype.

“The funniest thing is that nothing I said about them was based on emotion. All I said last year was, ‘We’re going to be better than you guys,' and they lost it. It was funny. After seeing how enraged they got by the truth, I was just like, ‘Shoot, if that’s how it’s going to be, I might as well just keep saying the truth.'”

The Knicks have been a walking disaster for years under owner James Dolan. The Nets, meanwhile, have a great infrastructure led by general manager Sean Marks and head coach Kenny Atkinson.

Brooklyn made the playoffs this past season, while the Knicks had the worst record in the league. Basketball wise, it makes all the sense in the world why Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant signed with the Nets over the Knicks.
