Brooklyn Nets backup point guard Spencer Dinwiddie says the team is going to be a force for years to come because they have an All-Star point guard in D'Angelo Russell and a future top-five center in Jarrett Allen.

The Nets are 30-29 on the season, good for sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings. Brooklyn is looking to make the playoffs for the first time since 2015.

Russell is averaging a career-high 20.9 points per game this season for the Nets while dishing out a career-best 6.6 assists. The lefty is shooting 43.6 percent from the field, 37.2 percent from beyond the arc, and 82.4 percent from the free-throw line.

Allen, meanwhile, has established himself as one of the best shot blockers in the league this season. He has blocks on Detroit Pistons All-Star power forward Blake Griffin, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, Houston Rockets shooting guard James Harden, and New Orleans Pelicans big man Anthony Davis. That's quite the list.

Allen, 20, is averaging 11.2 points, 8.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists, and 1.6 blocks. He's shooting 57.2 percent from the field.

Spencer Dinwiddie is currently out with torn ligaments in his right thumb, but he will be back later in the season for the Nets. The 25-year-old is putting up 17.2 points off the bench and shooting 46.1 percent from the floor and 36.6 percent from the 3-point line.
