Back in January, the Brooklyn Nets had Spencer Dinwiddie Iron Man bobblehead night.

Dinwiddie and the Nets partnered with Marvel to create the first bobblehead of his NBA career. It was pretty cool for Dinwiddie, whose favorite Marvel character is clearly Tony Stark, aka Iron Man.

“When they told me, ‘Hey, we're going to do it,' I was like, ‘Man, that's so cool,” Dinwiddie told ESPN's Nick Friedell. “Y'all not only thought about me but are going through the hoops to make it my favorite superhero.

“Damn, guys, you shouldn't have scheduled Milwaukee. Y'all could have given me a layup like the Hawks or something. Everybody would have been like, ‘Hell yeah, we blew them out on Spencer's bobblehead night.'”

Dinwiddie seems to have found a home with the Nets. The fans in Brooklyn love him not only because of his stellar play on the court, but also for his unique personality on social media.

Before the NBA suspended the season on Wednesday after Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus, Dinwiddie appeared in 64 games for the Nets. He averaged 20.6 points, 3.5 rebounds and 6.8 assists while shooting 41.5 percent from the field, 30.8 percent from beyond the arc and 77.8 percent from the free-throw line.

It has been an eventful 2019-20 NBA season for the Nets. First, superstar point guard Kyrie Irving scored 50 points in his Brooklyn debut and everyone started to get a little too excited about the season. The optimism faded after Irving missed a bunch of games because of a shoulder injury, an ailment which he recently got surgery on.

The Nets also parted ways with head coach Kenny Atkinson in a rather surprising move. Brooklyn will likely look for a new coach in the summer. After all, they are expected to be title contenders next season once two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant takes the floor alongside Kyrie Irving and Spencer Dinwiddie.
