Brooklyn Nets guard Spencer Dinwiddie came to the defense of point guard Kyrie Irving and instead took a jab at Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey.

After ESPN reported on Tuesday that some members of the Nets are worried about Irving's mood swings and his actions during the team's preseason trip to China, Dinwiddie told reporters Morey is the one who made a head-scratching move.

Morey voiced support on Twitter for pro-democracy protests in China, but he deleted his tweet very quickly.

Irving is one of the most mercurial players in the NBA. This is the same guy who requested a trade from the Cleveland Cavaliers after playing in three straight Finals and left the Boston Celtics after telling fans he was going to stay.

Irving signed a four-year deal with the Nets this summer. His pals, All-Stars Kevin Durant and DeAndre Jordan, are in Brooklyn with him.

Durant is widely expected to miss the entire season rehabbing his Achilles injury, which means Irving will once again have to be the leader like he was last season in Boston.

The Nets are 1-2 on the season. They lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves on opening night despite Irving scoring 50 points. Brooklyn defeated the New York Knicks, but followed that up with a loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
