Brooklyn Nets coach Steve Nash knows that his job is way easier having a guy like Kevin Durant at his beck and call. The rookie mentor has propelled his team all the way to the top of the Eastern Conference and notched another huge win on Thursday against the Indiana Pacers.

Durant, to Nash's delight, had one of his best performances of the season after dropping 42 points in the 130-113 rout. But what was even more impressive for Nash was Durant's efficiency with the ball as he also dished out 10 assists with just two turnovers (via Kristian Winfield of NY Daily News).

“What can I say? I've got the luxury of coaching Kevin Durant. I can just stick him in the game and good things happen.”

Though the former MVP hasn't been playing a lot given that he's missed more games than he's played this season, KD is KD and having a four-time scoring champion at your disposal is definitely a flex for Nash. Durant has been one of the most lethal scorers in the NBA for the past few seasons and being a seven-footer with a smooth jumper and crazy handles has been quite problematic for everyone else in the league.

There were a lot of expectations from Nash entering the NBA as a first-year head tactician, especially with the roster he adopted. But the former two-time MVP has been making the right calls and has definitely made the most of what he has.

Oh, and in case ya'll forgot, Nash still has another former MVP in James Harden and a former NBA champion in Kyrie Irving whenever Kevin Durant's not feeling it. Talk about luxury.
