Steve Nash is aware of the following point: History suggests that players who successfully made it back to the court after tearing their Achilles don't return to their great forms prior to suffering the injury. Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant continues to show that that is not the case for him.

Nets head coach Steve Nash, who sees Durant work day in and day out, diagnosed the reasons why the two-time NBA Finals MVP has looked so dominant in his return. Via Melissa Rohlin of Fox Sports, the first year coach suggested that Durant's determination in his rehab, the extra time he took to go through the rigorous recovery process, and the strides in science has contributed to his successful redemption campaign thus far.

Several stars of the past either fall off the cliff or see their careers come to an end after suffering an Achilles tear. Nets fans know that. NBA watchers no longer saw the elite form of late Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe after he ruptured his Achilles near the end of his age-34 campaign. Meanwhile, Detroit Pistons legend Isiah Thomas retired from basketball for good after tearing his Achilles in midway through his 14th NBA season.

Based on what we've seen so far this season, Durant, 32, looks arguably better than ever for the Nets.

Excluding his 20-point output in their dominant 134-117 win over the Golden State Warriors, the Nets superstar averaged 29.5 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 5.2 assists. Arguably the most gifted scorer in the history of the NBA, Durant looks sharper than ever, as evidenced by his elite efficiency splits of 53-45-87 from the floor.

As basketball fans, it's certainly great to see Durant grace the basketball court with his other-worldly talents once again for the Nets. Hopefully, the injury is completely in the past and he continues to stay healthy for the rest of his career.
