Brooklyn Nets superstar Kyrie Irving is arguably one of the most underrated point guards not only today but probably throughout the history of the NBA. Despite everything Kyrie has achieved in his career, he still seems to be constantly criticized — at times unfairly — by the media.

However, if you need proof as to how tremendous Kyrie Irving truly is as a basketball player, then perhaps two legends of the game would serve as a reliable source. Especially considering how these all-time greats heaping praise on Irving come in the form of Magic Johnson and Isiah Thomas.

According to perhaps the greatest point guard ever in Magic Johnson, Kyrie is simply something else when he has the basketball in his hands:

“The greatest compliment I can give him is he really is a video game,” said Johnson, via Nets Daily. “These kids play it — my grandson plays it, my son plays it — and he’s out there actually doing it.

“He’s the one player who can electrify a crowd while also making the opposing players on the bench go crazy after he just crossed up their teammate. That’s how great he is.”

Another legendary guard echoed Magic's sentiments. In his mind, Isiah Thomas sees Kyrie as the Jimi Hendrix of the NBA:

“It’d be like if you took guitar lessons and then played the guitar, ‘OK, it sounds good,’” said Thomas. “And then you get Jimi Hendrix to play the guitar and it’s like, ‘Oh s—t!’ It’s like, ‘What’s that?’ And that’s what we’re watching here. That’s what I was trying to be like. There’s no category for that.”

Pretty awesome analogies here from two of the greatest to have ever held the basketball. There's no doubt that both Magic and Thomas are authorities in this particular matter, so for them to heap so much praise on Kyrie Irving only speaks volumes of how the Nets superstar is viewed not only by his peers but also by his predecessors.
