Kevin Durant left the Golden State Warriors after three seasons to sign with the Brooklyn Nets in free agency this past summer.

Durant's business partner, Rich Kleiman, says the two-time champion left the Warriors for the Nets because he looked at it as another challenge and wanted to play with All-Stars Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan:

“He looked at it as another challenge,” Kleiman told Jalen and Jacoby on ESPN. “He's like I really want my craft to be honed in the place that I feel like that is best suited for my game and I'm gonna take it there, play with who I wanna play with.”

Durant has admitted a few times that the Draymond Green incident from last season was just one reason why he decided to leave the Warriors.

To recall, Green started calling Durant “a b***h” during an overtime game between the Warriors and Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center. Green, who questioned KD about his upcoming free agency, said the Dubs already won without him and dared the two-time Finals MVP to leave in the offseason—all while a game was still going on.

The words Green said to Durant were indeed too harsh, especially considering the Warriors were playing in a game against the Clippers.

Durant won’t play this season for the Nets, as he's recovering from his Achilles tear. When KD and Irving suit up together next season, the Nets should be legitimate title contenders.
