Veteran small forward Wilson Chandler believes the Brooklyn Nets can “make a lot of noise” in 2019-20 even without superstar Kevin Durant.

Durant is expected to miss the entire season recovering from his Achilles injury. However, Chandler is still confident the Nets are going to be an elite team with Kyrie Irving as the leader.

“Adding KD makes us so much better, but he’s obviously out for the year and that’s tough,” Chandler told Alex Kennedy of Hoops Hype. “But the team around Kyrie – all of the other guys I’ve been talking about – is really good. All of those guys can score. They can defend. They’re athletic. We literally have everything we need… We’re a team that could make a lot of noise this year.”

The Nets' 2019-20 roster will be headlined by Kyrie Irving, DeAndre Jordan, Jarrett Allen, Caris LeVert, Spencer Dinwiddie, Joe Harris, Taurean Prince, Wilson Chandler and Garrett Temple. That's a core which can surely be a top-three team in the Eastern Conference.

Chandler split time last season with the Philadelphia 76ers and Los Angeles Clippers. He averaged 6.0 points and 4.2 rebounds in 51 games while shooting 41.8 percent from the field and 37.3 percent from beyond the arc. The 32-year-old is a solid 3-and-D guy who will provide great leadership for the Nets.

The Phiadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks and Nets are likely going to be the three best teams in the East next season. Let's see how far Brooklyn can go once the postseason starts.
