The potential of playing with the Brooklyn Nets' All-NBA duo of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving has become an attractive proposition to a “number of veterans” in the upcoming free-agency period.

Brian Lewis of the New York Post told fans in a mailbag article that while he doesn't know who may come to join the Nets, there is surefire interest in playing with these two potent scorers.

“I’d be lying if I told you I knew. But I have heard there are a number of veterans who would like to come to Brooklyn to join up with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving,” wrote Lewis. “They have the taxpayer midlevel exception to spend in free agency.”

Besides bringing in close friend DeAndre Jordan, Irving and Durant also saw free agents join the Nets quickly after they signed on the first day of free agency.

Multi-position role player Garrett Temple was among them, one who has been a staple in the Nets' lineup for most of the regular season.

There have also been rumors about potentially moving either Spencer Dinwiddie or Caris Levert (or both) in search of a potential third star to build a superteam. While that is a rather ambitious proposition, both Irving and Durant have played on superteams before and have managed to make it work.

The two superstars have also reportedly been at the forefront of picking out a new head coach, hoping for a big-name coach to come and join them.
