The Brooklyn Nets will only part ways with Kevin Durant for the right price. But what if they don't get the offer they're seeking by training camp?

Well, according to some NBA execs, the Nets are more than likely to work things out to get him to play. Besides, they have the leverage since KD is under contract for four more years and they don't have to actually give in to his trade demand if they don't feel it's the right deal.

“I’d tell Durant we’re not trading you,” a former NBA general manager told Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Another GM also shared his belief that Kevin Durant wouldn't like to sit out just to force a trade. Considering that the forward likes to play a lot, it's not hard to see him and the Nets reaching to an agreement while waiting for an acceptable trade offer.

“Durant loves to play. I don’t think he has it in him to sit out. I’d make him play and try to convince him and Kyrie (Irving) that this is their best chance to win,” the GM added.

The Nets are asking a lot for Durant, highlighted not only by a massive haul of picks but also by a combination of a rising star and a superstar-caliber player. Brooklyn is basically asking for the whole future of a team, which is why it would take more than just a direct deal to another franchise to make things work.

With that said, it's unlikely for a Durant trade to happen any time soon.

It is still unknown what will happen to KD, but him staying in Brooklyn is certainly a possible scenario.
