The Los Angeles Lakers have been rumored as the only team interested in trading for Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving, with a Russell Westbrook swap discussed as the focal point of the deal. However, the two teams seem unable to agree with who and what else to include beyond the two.

Now in the latest report by Brian Lewis of the New York Post, it was revealed that the Nets do not want to include Joe Harris in any deal to move Irving.

“I know the Nets absolutely do not want to trade Joe under any scenario. But there are just thousands of different ways this can play out,” a source told the post.

Now this bit is interesting since just over the weekend, Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports noted that the Nets want to include Joe Harris in the deal alongside Kyrie Irving. However, the Lakers are apparently more interested in Seth Curry.

The two teams are also said to still be discussing draft compensation, with Brooklyn looking to get multiple picks to incentivize them taking Russell Westbrook's $47 million contract.

Considering the conflicting reports, it will be intriguing to see which players the Nets and Lakers end up moving. It is quite clear the Lakers want Irving reunited with LeBron James, but the question is what are they willing to give up to land him?

For what it's worth, there is no pressure for Brooklyn to immediate trade Irving since he is still under contract for the 2021-22 season.
