The Brooklyn Nets could be one of the more interesting teams to watch during the 2020 NBA offseason.

The Nets enter the offseason having hired a new head coach in Steve Nash, with several members of the Phoenix Suns' Seven Seconds or Less crew joining his staff. Brooklyn also heads into these next couple months knowing a healthy Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant will lead the team next season.

Both of these factors might suggest the Nets will keep the roster intact so as to ensure at least some sense of continuity. However, rival teams are growing more curious as to the availability of combo guard Spencer Dinwiddie.

Ian Begley of SNY reports Western Conference contenders are thought to have interest in acquiring Dinwiddie, though Brooklyn's openness to trading him is unknown:

Multiple western conference contenders have expressed interest internally in trading for Nets SG Spencer Dinwiddie, sources tell SNY.

The Nets' desire to move Dinwiddie is currently unknown.

ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported that the Nets may be open to trading him.

Dinwiddie is coming off a season in which he averaged 20.6 points, 6.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds in 64 games. The 27-year-old did not participate in the NBA restart due to COVID-19.

Dinwiddie is under contract for 2020-21 and then has a $12.3 million player option in 2021-22, which he very well could decline. With Dinwiddie potentially hitting free agency in 2021, the Nets may want to see what they can get for him.

The Nets also might want to see what they can do with all the pieces in place. However, they have a crowded backcourt, especially if they re-sign Joe Harris. Bringing back Harris and his excellent 3-point stroke is reportedly a top priority, and there have also been rumors about efforts to find a proven third star to play alongside Durant and Irving.

Dinwiddie is very much aware of these trade rumors, even reacting to some of them on social media.
