The Brooklyn Nets have such a powerhouse team that any one of their three superstars could go off on any given night. As a matter of fact, all three of them could and probably should be in the running for this year's MVP title. For Kevin Durant, though, he admitted that this is a notion that does not keep him up at night.

According to KD, the MVP crown is the farthest thing from his mind right now (h/t The Jump on ESPN on Twitter):

It's all about the team for Durant, who is now on his quest to win the third title of his career. He's already won the MVP title once before with the Oklahoma City Thunder and while it was an undeniably esteemed honor for him to be named as the best player in the NBA, it probably felt somewhat hollow for him considering how he never won a championship with OKC. Needless to say, this was one of the reasons why he decided to jump ship and join the Golden State Warriors.

For what it's worth, though, James Harden already declared earlier that he believes he is the frontrunner for this season's title. With how he has been playing for his new team, you'd have to admit that Harden definitely has a case here.

The same can be said — at least to some degree — for Kyrie Irving. He too has been playing at an elite level and there's no denying that he has been one of the key reasons behind Brooklyn's success this season. Among the Nets' Big 3, it's only Kyrie who hasn't bagged the MVP award, so perhaps he's a bit more motivated in this respect compared to his two former MVP teammates.
