Brooklyn Nets center DeAndre Jordan had some fun with frontcourt partner Jarrett Allen ahead of theit matchup with the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday night.

Jordan used an air-horn to mock combing and grooming Allen's afro before the Nets and Hornets got ready to tip things off.

The Nets signed Jordan at the request of both Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, but it is Allen that has continued to start for the team as he ascends as one of the better young centers in the league.

An early injury to Jordan forced Allen back into the starting role. Nonetheless, Nets head coach Kenny Atkinson made the smart decision to bring Jordan off the bench once he got healthy, rather than attempting to start the pair together.

Allen is averaging 12.3 points, 10.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in just 26.5 minutes per night. That translates to per-36 averages of 16.8 points, 14.3 rebounds and 1.8 blocks.

The third-year center has increased his scoring and rebounding numbers in each year in the league, and he has been even more efficient this season, converting on over 66 percent of his field goal attempts while posting a 132 offensive rating, according to Basketball Reference.

In fact, Allen ranks third in the NBA in offensive rating and 13th in offensive win shares and total win shares.

Jordan himself has been far from a slouch. The veteran big man is averaging 8.2 points, 9.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists on 70 percent shooting in just over 20 minutes per night. He also ranks tenth in the NBA in win shares per 48 minutes and 20th in defensive box plus-minus.

Brooklyn's center duo is an instrumental key to their success. It seems only fitting that they have some fun.
