Brooklyn Nets superstar forward Kevin Durant won't play this season, but it's still fun to watch his workout videos and get excited about next season.

A 10-time All-Star and former MVP, Durant has career NBA averages of 27.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 assists in 849 games with the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors. The future Hall of Famer is one of the best scorers of all time and Nets fans can’t wait to see Durant competing with fellow All-Stars Kyrie Irving and DeAndre Jordan by his side at the Barclays Center next season.

Durant told Toronto Raptors big man Serge Ibaka on his cooking show this past summer that he picked the Nets over the New York Knicks in free agency because Brooklyn was “farther along in the process of being a contender.” The Nets made the playoffs last season and have a good core and infrastructure led by GM Sean Marks and head coach Kenny Atkinson. The Knicks, meanwhile, had the worst record in the NBA in 2018-19 and have been a walking disaster under owner James Dolan for years.

Durant, Irving, and Jordan, who are very close friends off the court, each signed four-year deals with the Nets. In fact, KD and Kyrie took less money from the team so Jordan could get a $40 million contract from Brooklyn.

The Nets went 25-28 during the first half of the season. They are in seventh place in the Eastern Conference standings and open the second half of the season on Thursday against the Philadelphia 76ers.
