Brooklyn Nets star Kevin Durant is known as one of the best basketball players on Earth. His football skills, on the other hand, could use a bit of work.

Durant has been recovering from an Achilles injury. According to most accounts, the two-time champion is going to miss all of this season as he continues to rehab the ailment.

Durant's recovery seems to be going well. On Tuesday, the former No. 2 overall pick showed that he is back to sprinting form, running across the picturesque Brooklyn practice court with a football in his hand. When he made it to the opposite baseline, he heaved the ball back towards a member of the Nets' staff.

Durant positioned himself for the deep throw and let the ball fly
right over the staffer's outstretched arms:

Though he's running a bit more on the practice court, the Nets say Durant will not play this season:

“No, I think we're all on the same page. That's not going to happen,” coach Kenny Atkinson responded when asked about KD returning this season, via ESPN.

Aside from Durant's, the Nets have dealt with several injuries this season, which has led to a disappointing 22-27 overall record. Kyrie Irving is currently dealing with a right knee sprain. Fortunately, MRI scans came back clean for Irving, and he is expected to be re-evaluated in one week.

The Nets will be back in action on Wednesday night, when they'll serve as hosts to the Golden State Warriors. Tip-off inside the Barclays Center is set for 7:30 p.m. ET.
