Brooklyn Nets star point guard Kyrie Irving was among the players who trained with Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant at an invite-only camp in August.

Bryant hosted the Mamba Pro Invitational, a multi-day performance and basketball camp for some of the best players in the NBA. Attendees did strength training, on-court training and video work with Bryant and Lakers skills coach Phil Handy:

Kyrie Irving signed with the Nets this summer after playing the past two seasons with the Boston Celtics. Uncle Drew and Kobe Bryant talk all the time. Irving even Facetimed Kobe from the Cleveland Cavaliers' locker room after the Cavs won the 2016 title over the Golden State Warriors. The two have a very special bond.

Irving has one of the best handles of all time and is an elite finisher at the rim. He averaged 23.8 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.9 assists last season for the Celtics while shooting 48.7 percent from the field, 40.1 percent from beyond the arc and 87.3 percent from the free-throw line.

Kyrie will make his Nets debut on Oct. 10 against LeBron James, Anthony Davis and the Lakers in China. The All-Star guard will wear a mask, as he suffered a facial fracture after taking an elbow to the head in a scrimmage.
