League of Legends' new champion, Akshan, will be added to the game with the Sentinel of Light event. This coincides with Patch 11.15, which releases on July 22. He's a South Asian-inspired Rogue Sentinel with a unique skill – he is the first LoL champion who can revive his teammates.

League of Legends lore-wise, he is the successor to Shadya, a previous Sentinel who has perished. His goal is to bring together the other Sentinels to fight against the undead and incoming Ruination.

Akshan's kit focuses on seeking vengeance for his teammates. “Going Rogue” is one of his most useful skills, bringing some new flavor to LoL. It works as follows: if an enemy champion kills one of his teammates, the enemy will get marked as a Scoundrel. Defeating them will give Akshan extra gold. This also resurrects the fallen teammate at the base. He can also follow paths that lead to Scoundrels while camouflaged. Alongside this, he also gains speed and mana regeneration as he gets closer to Scoundrels.

His other skills make him stand out from the rest of the LoL roster. This includes “Avengerang” which deals damage twice – as it's thrown and as it comes back. He also has a “Heroic Swing” where he fires his hookshot to move around the map. “Comeuppance” is a skill that allows him to channel bullet power into his gun as he is locking onto an enemy. Once he has locked on, he will then releases all the acquired bullets towards the target. Comeuppance can be used alongside Heroic Swing. Another of his passive skills is “Dirty Fighting” – every three of his hits will deal a burst of physical damage. If the target was a champion, he will gain a shield. Akshan will surely bring some interesting moments to League of Legends.
