New Orleans Pelicans forward Dante Cunningham has been suspended for one game without pay after pleading guilty to a DUI, the NBA announced today.

The loss of Cunningham is yet another gut punch to a very depleted Pelicans roster that's been largely dependent on Anthony Davis‘ heroics to try and stay in games.

The 29-year-old is only averaging 5.6 points and 3.6 rebounds this season, but had his most impactful game against the Golden State Warriors with 15 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.

He's expected to serve his suspension tonight against the Phoenix Suns.

Solomon Hill and Lance Stephenson will share duties at small forward during his short absence.
