The New York Giants are back on track after scoring a win in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Can they keep it going? The Giants have the Miami Dolphins in front of them in a Week 13 meeting, giving them a chance to be the team to break the Fins’ win streak. With that said, here are four New York Giants predictions for that upcoming contest at Hard Rock Stadium.

Giants Week 13 Predictions

4. It's a Kenny kind of day

Kenny Golladay’s stint with the Giants has so far been full of disappointments. While the tools and talent are definitely there for the towering wide receiver, Golladay has yet to be a consistent high-end producer for New York’s offense that is only averaging 18.4 points per game and 317.5 total yards per contest – both outside of the top 20 in the NFL. But there is hope that the 6-4 Golladay is going to explode sooner than later, especially after the Giants parted ways with offensive coordinator Jason Garrett. Apart from injuries, it appears that Golladay was also held back by Garrett. Now with Freddie Kitchens calling the plays for the Giants’ offense, Golladay seems to feel that better days have already started for him.

Via Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News:

“You can come over to the sideline and actually, since you’re the one out there running, you can actually tell them what you’re seeing,” Golladay said. “I’m not saying there wasn’t openness with Garrett, but Freddie did want to hear from us a little bit more.”

Golladay posted 50 receiving yards on three catches and seven targets in Week 12’s 13-7 win at home against the Philadephia Eagles. While those numbers are nothing to write home about, that was Golladay’s most production outing in four games. The former Detroit Lions wideout has yet to score a touchdown this season, but if the Giants are really feeling that they are trending in a positive direction, at least offensively, Golladay might just get that first touchdown of the season this coming Sunday.

On to the next part of this New York Giants predictions piece.

3. Giants force 3 turnovers

A quick look at the 13-7 score of last Sunday’s Giants-Eagles matchup would strongly suggest that it was the defense that won New York the game. The Giants forced four turnovers in that game, intercepting Philly quarterback Jalen Hurts three times and recovering a fumble by Eagles running back Boston Scott. That defensive performance is a strong message to Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins. Miami is 27th in the NFL with 1.7 giveaways per game.

Tua has thrown 10 touchdowns but has also been picked a total of six times. Despite winning four games in a row to give themselves the momentum they are enjoying right now, it’s still hard to trust the Dolphins finishing a game without turning the ball over to their opponent. According to Football Outsiders, the Dolphins own a .135 turnover per drive rate, which is among the worst in the NFL. Moreover, the Dolphins are 26th in terms of fumbles per drive (.056). At the same time, the Giants are forcing 1.7 takeaways per game.

2. NY strike twice in the red zone

Considering that the Giants are the worst in the NFL when it comes to capitalizing on touchdown opportunities inside the red zone, the scenario where New York scores twice in that area against the red-hot Dolphins should surprise at least a few people.

That’s not to mention that Giants will not have Daniel Jones under center this week plus the fact that the Dolphins have a top-five red-zone touchdown defense in the NFL. But again, if the Giants have indeed turned a corner with the sacking of Garrett, this team that has Golladay and Saquon Barkley could end up making multiple strikes in the red zone.

And for the last part of this New York Giants predictions breakdown…

1. Giants party with a big win

Week 13’s meeting between the Giants and the Dolphins feels like a trap game. On one hand, New York has been wobbly all season long. This team has yet to win consecutively this year.  The Giants are also 1-4 on the road.  Their no. 1 quarterback isn’t playing and will be temporarily replaced by a journeyman signal-caller whose last win as a starter came way back in 2017.

The last time Glennon was on the field, he went 16 of 25 for 196 passing yards and a touchdown with two interceptions in a 44-20 road loss to the  Dallas Cowboys in Week 5. On the other hand, there’s the Miami team that has not lost since Week 8. Still, the Dolphins are far from perfect. The Giants are also coming into this game with considerable momentum, given their win in Week 12. Upsetting the Dolphins on the road is not an insurmountable task for these Giants.
