The New York Giants Week 16 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles could be much better than many perceive. With Philadelphia fighting for a playoff spot, New York has an opportunity to spoil their postseason hopes. We take a look at this Giants-Eagles game with some of our Giants Week 16 predictions in mind.

New York's defense is much better than many believe, but they've been ravaged by injuries. Regardless, they'll have their hands full against an Eagles offense that's dominating the ground game right now. This is a tough matchup, but if the Giants can slow down Miles Sanders, they'll have a great chance to win this contest.

On offense is where things get interesting. The Giants have been hit hard by injuries and COVID, so we'll see how they manage. Jake Fromm will be starting at quarterback and has an opportunity to surprise fans. For that to happen, he'll need a big game out of Kenny Golladay. Additionally, it's time for Saquon Barkley to get back on track and carry New York to a victory.

With that said, here are four bold Giants Week 16 predictions for their game against the Eagles.

Giants Week 16 Predictions

4. Giants defense bottles up the Eagles rushing attack

This is an incredibly difficult task considering the Eagles have been wildly successful at running the ball. Between Jalen Hurts and Miles Sanders, Philadelphia is likely to continue dominating the ground game against the Giants.

Even so, stopping the run is a key to victory for New York. They will do everything possible to put Philadelphia into third and long situations. We'll see how it plays out, as the Eagles won't go down quietly. Look for the Giants to get creative on defense as they aim to keep Miles Sanders from putting up big numbers.

3. Jake Fromm plays well above standards

Daniel Jones has been ruled out as his neck injury has lingered much longer than anticipated. With Mike Glennon ruled out as well, Jake Fromm steps in as the starting quarterback for the Giants. Expectations are low, but Fromm has a chance to shock the world on Sunday. If he can keep New York within reach, Fromm will turn some heads in the NFL.

2. Kenny Golladay reels in 2 touchdowns

It's been a year to forget for Kenny Golladay, but he can put that behind him with a solid performance on Sunday. It's been a while since we've seen him at the top, as the Giants haven't found a way to utilize their star receiver.

Look for Fromm to target him often, as Golladay is the best receiver on the team. If Golladay can string together three solid performances to close out the season, New York will feel much more confident about paying him a massive amount of money.

1. Saquon Barkley lights up the field with 100+ total yards

Regardless of his struggles, Saquon Barkley is still insanely talented out of the running back position. Although we haven't seen him play well this year, Barkley is a threat to take it to the house on any given play. His presence on the field is enough to generate a useful game plan for the Giants.

If New York hopes to steal a win away from the Eagles, the coaching staff must focus on feeding the ball to Saquon Barkley. Whether he's running between the tackles or catching a short pass underneath, it doesn't matter. Joe Judge must get Barkley involved early and often. Otherwise, it could be a long day for the Giants.
