With 14 guaranteed contracts on the roster for next season, the New York Knicks can still add one more to get to the maximum roster of 15.

A day after the Knicks signed Ron Baker to a partially guaranteed deal, they've done the same with J.P. Tokoto, a former North Carolina Tar Heel who spent last season in the NBA D-League.

The 58th overall pick of the Philadelphia 76ers in the 2015 NBA Draft, the Sixers signed Tokoto to a training camp deal last year but waived him before the start of the season. He averaged 11.1 points and 4.1 rebounds in 48 games in the D-League last year.

Tokoto played for the Knicks in the summer league last month so it's clear New York has had an eye on him for at least a little while.

Next month Tokoto will turn 23 and Baker is already 23. Those two appear to be the current leading candidates to make that final roster spot, but the Knicks have some time to sign a few more training camp deals.
