Even if it’s the offseason, football fans have something to look forward to in the coming weeks. The NFL Players Association and Panini America are going to release the NFL Rookie Premiere Class of 2021 trading card set.

Now in its 27th year, the Rookie Premiere is a marketing event showcasing trading cards of select young players who are about to enter the NFL. The guys from this year’s rookie class are selected by Panini on the basis of draft status, collegiate performance, and position. Other factors, such as marketability and demand, are also considered in this selection. The cards of these rookies will also be featured throughout the company’s range of 2021 NFL products.

Headlining this year’s NFL rookie class are the top picks from the draft, Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields. The former is a standout quarterback drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars while the latter will play the same position for the Chicago Bears soon.

Along with these two up-and-coming stars, there are 58 other players included by Panini in this year’s NFL Rookie Premiere class. Some notable names include Zach Wilson, Trey Lance, Kyle Pitts, Ja'Marr Chase, Jaylen Waddle, Penei Sewell, and Jaycee Horn, among others.
