With the 2018 NFL Draft just around the corner, teams are beginning to position themselves for the next phase of the offseason. Although this year's draft is expected to be one of the more quarterback-heavy affairs in recent years, there are still a number of other prospects that have challenged this notion.

Among them is NC State defensive end Bradley Chubb. According to Albert Breer of the MMQB, Chubb is expected to meet with the New York Giants on Thursday:

The Giants are slated to host NC State DE Bradley Chubb on a Top 30 visit tomorrow, per source. Would be a consideration for the 2nd overall pick.

The Giants currently own the No. 2 overall pick in the this year's draft, meaning they will have the luxury of addressing either one of their several needs immediately. There has been plenty of speculation that they will take a quarterback as the successor to longtime signal-caller Eli Manning. However, it seems the Giants are still doing their due diligence on a number of the other top prospects at other positions.

Chubb's body of work would certainly legitimize New York taking him with the second overall pick. He won every defensive award imaginable last year en route to surpassing former No. 1 overall pick Mario Williams as the school's all-time sack leader.

Aside from Chubb, Penn State running back Saquon Barkley has established himself as the only other non-quarterback that could be taken within the top-5. However, there are also rumors about New York being willing to trade down for the right price. While accruing as much picks as possible is an option, it is unlikely that they are willing to drop out of the top-10.
