With the 33rd overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals selected Clemson Tigers standout wide receiver Tamaurice “Tee” Higgins, a 21-year-old junior from Oak Ridge, Tennessee.

Higgins was not a full-time starter his freshman year at big time program Clemson, under head coach Dabo Swinney, only appearing in seven games and recording 17 catches for 345 receiving yards and two touchdowns the same season the Tigers lost in the Sugar Bowl.

Then Higgins broke out onto the scene in his sophomore year under Swinney, catching 59 passes for 936 receiving yards for 12 touchdowns, appearing in 15 games during the 2018 campaign, which saw Clemson capture a title in the College Football Playoff's National Championship Game over Alabama. Higgins continued his rise this past season, where he totaled 59 catches for 1,167 receiving yards, scoring 13 touchdowns.

At 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds, Higgins has the height and size to possibly bully opposing defensive backs—but his big play potential is what's truly salivating. Higgins averaged nearly 20 yards per reception in 2019.

Per NFL.com's Lance Zierlein:

Long, angular frame with cheat-code body control and ball skills when attacking downfield. Higgins is leggy getting off of the press, but those same leggy strides are weapons of separation that help create big plays. He's played all three receiver spots and can be moved around to match up against cornerbacks. His size and “above the rim” talent make him a uniquely dangerous playmaker deep and in the red zone. The transition to NFL press corners will be an early challenge that could take some time to solve, but he's an instinctive ball-winner whose traits should win out and make him a very good NFL starter.

Leaving Clemson before his senior year, Tee Higgins has the potential to be an explosive wideout in the NFL.
