Former Michigan Wolverines linebacker and 2019 NFL Draft prospect Devin Bush has encountered nonstop praise throughout the spring. With such a notion finally paying off on Thursday evening, Bush has been selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.

While Bush is just the first of several Wolverines slated to come off the board as a result of the 2019 NFL Draft, there is no doubt that the former Michigan standout will succeed atop the highest level.

“Undersized three-down linebacker with the speed and cover talent to make an easy transition to WILL linebacker as a pro,” reads Bush's 2019 NFL Draft profile on NFL.com. “There will be NFL defenses who pass on Bush due to his lack of size, but his ability to play fast and free as an outside linebacker should supersede those concerns. He will miss some tackles and get engulfed by blockers at other times, but his play strength and ability to run and cover are extremely valuable in today's game and should not be diminished due to a tape measurement.”

Now officially a member of the NFL ranks, Bush comes from an impressive lineage as his 2019 NFL Draft status hardly comes as a surprise. Bush is notably the son of former Florida State Seminoles and NFL defensive back, Devin Bush, while the elder Bush went on to coach his son at Michigan by serving as a defensive analyst under Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh.

Nonetheless, it is now time for the younger of the two to take center stage as a member of the Steelers.
