Georgia Bulldogs stud defensive end Travon Walker's NFL career has officially begun, as the Jacksonville Jaguars have selected him with the first overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. Walker, who was a standout end for the Georgia Bulldogs' national championship-winning defense, will now get the chance to impose his will on opposing offensive linemen in the NFL.

The 6-foot, 5-inch, 280-pound Walker is a menace for opposing linemen to handle, as he is equal parts strong and fast, as evidenced by his 4.74 40-yard dash time at the NFL Draft combine. It's that combine performance that has sent the Georgia star skyrocketing up draft boards.

Earlier in the offseason, Walker was regarded as a first rounder, though many thought that he didn't possess the upside to be among the top-10 picks in the NFL Draft. A freak athlete, the 21-year-old emerged as a full-time starter for the Bulldogs, appearing in 13 games while amassing 7.5 tackles for loss and six sacks.

Walker is capable of being an elite run-stuffer, pass rusher and dropping back into coverage. His versatility and athleticism are off the charts and should make him an instant impact performer for the Jaguars.

However, there are still question marks with the Jaguars taking Walker as the first overall pick. Michigan's defensive end Aiden Hutchinson was considered more of a sure thing. Generally, with the first pick in the NFL Draft, you want to take the sure thing. But clearly, Walker's upside swayed Jacksonville.

Congratulations to Walker and his family on this incredible NFL Draft moment.
