In the weeks leading up to the 2018 NFL Draft, former Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has continued to see his stock rise. He has now entered the picture as possibly being a serious contender to be selected as the top overall pick by the Cleveland Browns.

This progressive rise up the draft boards has seen in him receive significant interest from various teams around the league. According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, Allen has visited with seven teams and held one private workout.

In an interview that will be included later today in the award-eligible PFT PM podcast, Allen listed the teams he has visited: Browns, Giants, Jets, Broncos, Dolphins, Bills, and Cardinals.

Here’s where it gets interesting. Allen said that, despite the seven visits, he had only one private workout. And he opted to keep that information to himself, although he admitted that it was with one of the teams he visited, and that the team plays on the East Coast.

Although Allen didn't disclose which team it was that he held a workout for it narrows that down to being the likes of the New York Giants, New York Jets and Buffalo Bills. Each of these teams looks to be in the position to add a quarterback with the Giants the least likely of the bunch to do so.

It has become clear that Allen will be a high first-round draft pick later this month by one of the teams at the top of the board looking to acquire a young promising quarterback. He may have many question marks about his overall ability as an accurate thrower, there is no doubt he has the size and arm strength that could help him succeed at the next level.

This may come down to him being in the right fit as there could be plenty of bumps early on his finds his way in the league toward becoming a more well-rounded quarterback with more refined footwork and presence in the pocket throwing the ball. In the meantime, Allen finds himself in the spot of being a legitimate top choice in this year's draft.
