This year's NFL Draft quarterback class hasn't been the most highly regarded. For one reason or another, pundits haven't gotten that excited about this year's crop of quarterbacks. Pittsburgh's Kenny Pickett, for example, was criticized by many for his hand size. However, one team certainly could care less about how big the Pittsburgh product's hands are. In fact, this team's owner has his heart set on Pickett ahead of the NFL Draft, as reported by longtime NFL reporter John Clayton via USA Today.

According to longtime NFL reporter and 710 ESPN Seattle’s John Clayton, who joined 93.7 The Fan earlier this week, owner David Tepper “loves and wants” the Pitt Panther.

Per Panthers Wire, Carolina owner David Tepper “loves and wants” Kenny Pickett. Tepper, who was most displeased with how the Panthers' quarterback situation played out this past year, will likely have his way if he is this enamored with the NFL Draft prospect.

Pickett threw for over 4300 yards while tossing 42 touchdowns and just seven interceptions on a healthy 8.7 yards per attempt. Tepper's Panthers, who are not quite as close to being a contender as they perhaps thought, could be an ideal spot for an NFL Draft prospect to land, as they can afford to wait for said player to develop.

It will be interesting to see if the Panthers, who hold the eighth pick in the NFL Draft, opt to select Pickett that early.
