Jeff Okudah has long been considered the best cornerback available in this year's draft and his early selection warrants that. Early in the first round, the Detroit Lions have selected Okudah with the No. 3 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Since the end of the collegiate season in 2019, Okudah was drawing praise as the No. 1 cornerback in the 2020 draft class. The junior cornerback put together an impressive season in 2019 at Ohio State, recording nine pass breakups and three interceptions.

Then, at the NFL Combine, Okudah posted a 4.48 40-yard dash, leaving some scouts to question his speed on the field. Despite the concerning 40-yard dash, it didn't hurt his stock much, with him still going early in the first round.

Standing at 6-foot-1, 205 pounds, there aren't many weaknesses in Okudah's game. While at Ohio State, Okudah excelled in man coverage, proving that he can mirror opposing team's best wide receivers. In addition, he is at his best when he's able to line up in press coverage and be physical with wide receivers.

Even though he typically played in man coverage, Jeff Okudah is more than capable of having success in zone coverage as well. The talented cornerback is gifted at making plays on the ball, using his athletic ability to high point the ball in the air.

Similar to most drafts, there were some late rumblings that Okudah could fall in the 2020 NFL Draft. Contrary to those reports, Okudah is an early first-round pick and he figures to prove why he was the No. 1 cornerback prospect in his rookie season.
