There is already a lot of buzz around LSU wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase ahead of the 2021 NFL Draft, and one NFL executive has already compared him to Odell Beckham Jr., according to Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated:

How good is he? “He’s better already than Odell [Beckham] was coming out,” said one NFC exec. “Dynamic. A game-changer.” And if he’d been eligible, he’d probably have been the first receiver to go this year.

It's interesting that he would have probably been one of the first wide receivers selected in the 2020 NFL Draft, and it will be interesting to see how the upcoming season at LSU affects his draft stock. The Tigers' offense is going to look a lot different without Joe Burrow under center, which could hurt the production out of the offense.

During the 2019 season, Ja'Marr Chase actually had a better season than new Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson. Chase had 84 receptions for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns. In the National Championship game, he was a big reason for the victory in putting up 221 yards and two touchdowns.

Chase's stats already blow away any stats that Beckham had during his time at LSU. Beckham's best stats came in 2013, where he caught 59 passes for 1,152 yards and eight touchdowns.

Mel Kiper Jr of ESPN, revealed his top five players to look at in the 2021 NFL Draft, and Chase was included on that list. Other players included on that list are Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, Penei Sewell, and Michah Parsons.

There is still an entire season to be played, but all signs are pointing towards Chase being drafted high in the 2021 draft.
