The NFL Draft is just over a month away, and as it stands the top quarterback in the class is tabbed as Liberty standout Malik Willis. He managed to further improve his draft stock on Tuesday after turning in an impressive Pro Day, catching the eye of scouts across the league. Willis put on a stunning display on Tuesday, and he could have just made his case to be selected No. 2 overall by the Detroit Lions.

That absolute cannon of a throw got the whole training facility cheering, as he put the ball in a basket for his wideout in front of the pro scouts. Willis checked off all the boxes during his Pro Day, and that last booming throw will certainly make the rounds online ahead of the NFL Draft.

Already projected as an early first-round pick, Willis may have pushed himself further up the draft board with his showcase on Tuesday and may have caught the eye of the Detroit Lions, who select second overall in the draft. With Jared Goff not inspiring much confidence, the Lions could use their No. 2 pick to bring in Willis and set themselves up for the future. Detroit hadn't been considered the most likely landing spot for a quarterback in 2022, but after Willis' strong showing, they may just reconsider passing on the Liberty product.

All 32 teams sent representatives to scout Willis at his Pro Day at Liberty, the biggest in school history. The pressure didn't get to Willis, as he excelled under the bright lights.
