After suffering a season-ending hip injury during Alabama's week 9 game against Mississippi State on November 16, Crimson Tide quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has been on the road to recovery.

Per Stephen Smith of Touchdown Alabama Magazine, the highly touted quarterback prospect has now been cleared to start NFL Draft workouts.

Tagovailoa received surgery shortly after the injury occurred and since then, the star QB has been attempting to get back to top form.

Along with the hip injury, the Hawaii native suffered a nose and ankle injuries as well as a concussion during his junior season at Alabama.

At the 2020 combine, Tagovailoa underwent medical testing and interviewed with prospective teams. With the Alabama Pro Day set for April 9, we should get a good chance to see how well the All-American has recovered from his injuries.

Prior to his season being ended, Tagovailoa was widely considered the top prospect in the 2020 class. After leading the Crimson Tide to a win in the 2017 National Championship game and a stellar All-American 2018 campaign, expectations were high for the 6-foot-1, 218-pound signal-caller.

In nine games last season, Tagovailoa completed 71.4 percent of his passes for 2,840 yards, 33 touchdowns and three interceptions while adding two more touchdowns on the ground.

While no longer considered the consensus No. 1 selection for the upcoming draft, Tagovailoa has seen his stock rise back up in recent months and most mocks have the Alabama quarterback going top 10 if not top five.
