There have been plenty of impressive performances at this year's NFL Combine. However, none have been as spectacular as the one Central Florida linebacker Shaquem Griffin put on over the weekend.

Despite having just one arm, Griffin has proven that he still has the physical intangibles of an NFL player. As a result, he has started to rise up the draft boards around the league, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport:

“It seems like he has done wonders for his draft stock. I talked to a head coach just now who said he believes he [Griffin] is probably a fourth-rounder now which is a far cry from where he was a couple months ago. At the least, he has solidified himself as a backup linebacker/core special teamer.”

Griffin started his impressive showing by pushing up 20 repetitions on the bench press with a prosthetic hand. He kicked things up a notch after registering a 4.38 40-yard dash — the fastest time by any linebacker since recording started in 2003. Now teams are forced to look back at the tape from his days at UCF.

Griffin lost his hand at the age of 4 due to a congenital condition known as amniotic band syndrome. Since then, he has continued to defy the odds throughout his football career. Griffin capped off a spectacular college tenure by putting his skills on display at this year's Senior Bowl.

It was there that he managed to earn an invitation to the combine after initially being snubbed as a participant. Needless to say, Griffin continues to take advantage of every opportunity presented to him thus far and it has certainly paid off.
