There has been plenty of speculation regarding the pecking order of quarterbacks in the 2020 NFL Draft. Although LSU's Joe burrow may be the clear-cut No. 1 pick, it remains to be seen where Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa and Oregon's Justin Herbert will check-in behind him.

Tagovailoa's draft stock has reportedly dipped leading up to the draft. It appears the odds have since tipped in Herbert's favor in Lass Vegas, via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk:

Everyone expects LSU quarterback Joe Burrow to go first overall to the Bengals, but sports books now list Herbert as the favorite to be the second quarterback off the board. MGM lists Herbert’s odds at -125 and Tagovailoa’s odds at -110.

This is certainly quite the turn of events considering Tagovailoa had entered the offseason as the favorite to be the second quarterback off the board. While he has done what he can to assure teams that he made a full recovery from the hip injury he suffered back in November. Unfortunately, the restrictions placed by the league in response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic have prevented him from proving his clean bill of health.

Meanwhile, Herbert was able to turn heads with his potential at the NFL Combine, and his stock has steadily increased ever since. Among the teams that could be looking to target a quarterback are the Miami Dolphins and Los Angeles Chargers. Given the fact that they currently own the fifth and sixth overall picks in the draft, Herbert and Tagovailoa could both be off the board almost immediately.
