Up until recently, the consensus opinion seemed to be that Kyler Murray and Dwayne Haskins were the top two quarterback prospects in next month's NFL Draft, but could a new contender be sneaking up on the field?

According to Todd McShay of ESPN.com, there are some teams that are very interested in Missouri quarterback Drew Lock, and while Murray is expected to go No. 1 overall to the Arizona Cardinals, there may be a chance that Lock ends up going ahead of Haskins.

This is definitely a surprise, as there were even some who felt that Haskins—not Murray—was the best signal-caller in this draft class, so the fact that some teams apparently prefer Lock is certainly interesting.

Lock is coming off of a senior campaign in which he threw for 3,498 yards, 28 touchdowns, and eight interceptions while completing 62.9 percent of his passes and registering a passer rating of 147.7.

He took over as the starter for the Tigers during his sophomore year, throwing for 3,399 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 10 picks while completing 54.6 percent of his passes and recording a passer rating of 133.3.

Drew Lock's best season, however, came in his junior campaign, when he totaled 3,964 yards, 44 touchdowns, and 13 interceptions, posting a completion percentage of 57.8 percent and a passer rating of 165.7.

Meanwhile, Haskins started just one year at Ohio State, but he was remarkable in that lone season, throwing for 4,831 yards, 50 touchdowns, and eight picks while completing 70 percent of his passes and tallying a passer rating of 174.1.

It will definitely be intriguing to watch which quarterback comes off the board first in April.
