Much like some of the other teams slated to pick at the end of the first round, the Tennessee Titans are open to moving off their first-round pick.

Dianna Russini of ESPN reported the Titans are looking to trade the 29th pick so as to acquire picks in later rounds.

The Titans are just one of a number of teams at the end of the first round that are interested in trading down. The San Francisco 49ers (who have the No. 13 and No. 31 overall pick) are also reportedly looking to move at least one of their first-round picks to improve their draft capital.

But the Niners are currently without picks in both the second and third rounds. The Titans, meanwhile, have picks in both of those rounds, though they have just one pick in each. It is also worth noting Tennessee does not have a fourth-round pick.

Titans General Manager Jon Robinson previously said the team was “open for business” and said he was interested in adding picks (via Eric Bacharach of the Nashville Tennessean):

“The more picks you can have, the better,” he said. “We feel like we’ve got enough ammunition draft pick-wise to make ourselves a better football team hopefully, but I think if you can poll 31 other GMs and ask them if they could pick up another pick here or there, the would certainly entertain that. We'll see how things start to unfold here on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and as more picks potentially become available by trade we'll certainly entertain that.”

The Titans might look to improve their receiving corps or address the front line after trading away defensive tackle Jurrell Casey, though they feel there is a fairly deep talent pool in this draft.

Robinson will look to stockpile picks in an effort to acquire more future talent, so long as he can find a suitor willing to move up into the first round.
