One of the more intriguing prospects in this year's draft has been former Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson due to the larger amount of concern about whether he could have success at that position at the next level. Much of this has centered around his ability to throw the ball with accuracy and his mechanics in the pocket.

Jackon has a unique skill set that many believe that could translate to him having more success at wide receiver in the NFL.  With that in mind, teams are reportedly already asking for Jackson to go through individual pre-draft workouts at wideout instead of at quarterback, as relayed in print by  Jeremy Bergman of NFL.com.

“Multiple NFL teams have requested for the dual-threat Lousiville quarterback to work out as a wide receiver, in addition to working out as a QB, Good Morning Football's Peter Schrager reported Friday, per a source informed of the situation.”

At this point, there isn't much known if Jackson is receptive to that idea after playing his entire collegiate career at quarterback.

He is coming off a highly successful three-year stint where he became the first player notch at least 3,500 passing yards and 1,500 rushing yards in back-to-back seasons. He also set the Louisville record for total offense (13,175 yards), rushing yards (4,132), rushing touchdowns (50) and total touchdowns (119). This includes earning the Heisman Trophy award in 2016 along with back-to-back ACC Player of the Year awards and ACC Offensive Player of the Year honors in each of the last two years.

The 21-year-old has also drawn many comparisons to former NFL star Michael Vick due to his ability to impact the game greatly with both his arm and legs. All of this has made him one of the most tantalizing prospects, but the questions about his accuracy as a passer completing no greater than 56.3 percent of his attempts have led to the proposition of him playing at wide receiver instead.

Ultimately, this entire pre-draft process with workouts, NFL Scouting Combine, and interviews will give a better sense for Jackson if an NFL team will be willing to offer him a chance to play under center at the next level.
