The NFL has started to take precautionary measures amid the recent outbreak of coronavirus around the world. Despite the concerns, it seems they are hoping to proceed with business as usual for the offseason.

With the 2020 NFL Draft just a month away, the scouting process is still in full swing for teams. According to Sports Illustrated's Nick Selbe, the league plans on holding the draft as scheduled. However, there could very well be some adjustments made:

“The draft is slated to go on, but in what actual form is certainly a question,” Rapoport said. “Will there be fans there? Will it be a big-time, return to sports moment for the NFL if the nation gets over this virus in that time? Or, will there be no fans? Will it be in a different location, potentially conducted by conference call? All of these things are options.”

This year's draft was slated to be held in Las Vegas as the NFL's newest host city with the relocation of the Raiders this offseason. Unfortunately, it may not be able to come to fruition if the pandemic does not subside by then.

The NBA and other major professional leagues have taken unprecedented action by suspending the 2019-20 season until further notice. With the start of he 2020 NFL season is still six months away, the league is hoping that things start trending in a more positive direction before they are potentially forced to make some changes of their own.

Despite the latest restrictions, this has not stopped teams like the Miami Dolphins from doing their due diligence after hosting Ohiom state running back JK Dobbins for a visit amidst the recent outbreak.
