The Oakland Raiders released Antonio Brown, leaving multiple sports accounts to get involved in the action. The Vancouver Canucks sent Brown a lighthearted tweet that invited the receiver to their training camp.

Brown replied with a comical response:

It would be rather interesting to see Antonio Brown take his talents to hockey, but we will never see that come into fruition. Before some people believe he will pack his bags and go to the NHL — no. Just no.

In actuality, the All-Pro receiver quickly shifted his focus to finding a new team in the NFL for the 2019 season. And according to reports, he has already agreed to terms with the New England Patriots.

Throughout the whole saga with the Raiders, Brown has reiterated that he is ready to get on the field again and do what he does best. But was he really ready though?

Brown missed the majority of training camp due to controllable situations and also got into an altercation with his general manager. None of that has to do with football. Now that he's with the Pats, he has to prove he's not a distraction and commit to the game he's been playing since he was a little kid.

Even through all of the drama, Brown is an exceptional talent that has asserted himself as one of the best players in the NFL—not NHL.
