Did Antonio Brown just announce his retirement?

The ex-Pittsburgh Steelers superstar wide receiver took to Twitter earlier alluding to him possibly being done with playing after having “[checked] everything in the game” after he asked if it's time for him to “walk away” from the game.

Antonio Brown would continue by saying that, “at this point the risk is greater than the reward thank you everyone who been part of this journey i sincerely thank you for everything! life goes on 84!”

Brown all but confirmed that he is most likely hanging up his cleats, implying that he believes that the “reward” for suiting up is not worth it in his mind.

The last time we saw AB on the field was all the way back in Week 2 of the 2019 season with the New England Patriots. Brown debuted for the Pats in their demolition of the Miami Dolphins. AB caught five passes for 56 yards and also pulled down one touchdown in the game. Soon after, he was released by New England due to allegations of sexual assault and rape.

If this is the end of Antonio Brown's career, he will retire as a seven-time Pro Bowler and five-time All-Pro team selection. In his 10 years in the NFL, the former sixth-round pick was able lead the league major receiving categories in multiple seasons including receptions and yards twice.

His career totals are 841 receptions, 11,263 receiving yards, and  75 receiving touchdowns. He has amassed almost 3,000 yards off kick returns as well as five touchdowns on run backs.

He indeed conquered.
