Free agent wide receiver Antonio Brown was the most searched person on Google in the United States during 2019, according to trends released by Google.

This really isn't all that shocking because it seemed every other day the last few months Brown was in the news for something new. First, it was trying to get out of Pittsburgh, next it was issues with his helmet and trying to get out of Oakland, and the last few months it has been sexual assault allegations and his fight with the NFL.

The NFL still has an open investigation with Brown involving the sexual assault allegations. Brown has made it clear a few times he is frustrated with how long it has taken for the NFL to come back with an answer on if he will be suspended or not.

Goodell said on Wednesday that he didn't personally meet with Brown, but the NFL investigators did have some things they are following up on.

“They still have not completed the investigation,” Goodell said via Nick Goss of NBC Sports. “The investigators did; I did not meet with Antonio. They have more work to do. They are following up on that. I will get an update when they have more information.”

The longer this drags out, the more Brown will probably continue to tweet and the more he will be in the news. If this drags out into the offseason, Brown will probably continue to be searched a lot on google. Who knows, maybe Antonio Brown can take home the top honor in 2020 too.
