In the weeks leading up to the 2018 NFL Draft, former Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield has been picking up steam as being one of the top players at his position in this year's class. He has worked his way up from originally walking on to being considered as a first round talent.

In response to that, Mayfield has drawn plenty of interest around the league from various teams that need help under center. According to Robert Klemko of Sports Illustrated, the list of potential suitors now includes the likes of the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals.

All of which made Mayfield’s day on the campus of UCLA all the more fascinating. Before Mayfield embarks on a cross-country tour of visits—which will include Cleveland, Buffalo, both the Giants and Jets in New Jersey, Miami, Denver and Arizona—he spent a day on an ESPN set in UCLA’s football building with Russell Wilson. The Seahawks quarterback is debuting a four-part television feature this month, QB2QB, in which he interviews four different NFL draft prospects and shares his perspective into the mental side of the game.

Each of these teams currently needs to address the quarterback position. The Bills traded Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns earlier this offseason along with moving up to the 12th overall pick after a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals. Nathan Peterman is still on the roster, but moving up in the draft seems to show that the team doesn't believe he is their quarterback of the future.

Meanwhile, the Cardinals have brought aboard Sam Bradford on a one-year, $20 million that has left the door open for the team to bring in a promising quarterback such as Mayfield as the future face of the franchise. Arizona currently holds the 15th overall pick in this year's draft, but the team could move up if they want to ensure they get Mayfield, or whoever they desire. The New York Jets are said to have interest in taking the 22-year-old at the third overall selection, too.

With just under a month remaining before the draft, Mayfield continues to draw significant interest around the league that could make him one of the first players off the board.
